If you would like more information about how to provide a safe environment for your child, please feel free to visit the website for the Office of Child and Youth Protection for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia at: https://childyouthprotection.org/index.php/protect-children Catechesis, or religious education, is provided for all parish children who are enrolled in public or non-Catholic private schools. If your child is not enrolled in our Religious Education program, PREP, please contact the rectory office during the allocated registration period from May - August for registration information.

As part of our religious education program, sacrament preparation is integral to a proper formation in the Catholic faith. Therefore, children enrolled in our Religious Education Program receive the Sacraments of Reconciliation, Holy Communion, and Confirmation at the appropriate times and grades within the Archdiocese of Philadelphia’s guidelines. Please contact Nancy Sanchez in the rectory if there are any questions.

ATTENTION
Families of home-schooled children: it is important to keep in contact with the parish in regards to your child’s religious education. Your pastor, Fr. Goerner, has requested that all children who are home-schooled receive a midterm and year end test to monitor their progress. Home-schooled children who are preparing for a sacrament during the year, must not only be tested, but must also participate in the Parish Retreat and all events expected from any child receiving a sacrament. Please contact Nancy Sanchez in the Religious Education Office for more information.

Registration for homeschooling may follow the registration period for traditional catechesis.
